CN-Seamless was founded by Josh Cooper, Sam Macrom, and Dario Muller in 2022 following their engineering capstone project at NC State University. The idea for their flagship product came from an observation Sam made on the floor of a steel mill he interned with the Summer before. Operators were using cardboard templates and hand torches to create custom parts, and despite their best efforts, the process of executing heavy repairs onsite always seemed to be the bottleneck for production. Determined to do something about it, the three founders spent nights and weekends modeling, coding, and soldering to build their first prototype of the Mach 1, a portable robotic CNC shape cutting machine. In 2023, CN-Seamless sold its first unit. Word spread quickly among fabricators and steelworkers across the country and the company continued to grow. Today, CN-Seamless continues to develop innovative tools built around the way tradespeople actually work.
